Reaching a height of 1.5 m the East Indian Lemon Grass grows taller and is slightly hardier than the West Indian species (C.citratus). Add the amazing flavours of Asia to your cooking (stem base). The leaf is used as herbal tea to treat digestion problems, fever and inflammation. As frost tender, in cooler areas do not cut back until frost has passed to protect the centre of the plant or grow in a pot & move indoors mid-autumn to early spring. A sturdy evergreen perennial grass. Prefers full sun & well drained soil. 100 seeds.
