A classic slicing cucumber. The dark green fruit have crisp, white flesh with a mild and sweet flavour. The ‘straight’, narrow fruit grow to ‘eight’ inches (20 cm). An abundant variety that flowers and fruits early in the season. Can grow on a trellis or on the ground on top of straw to keep clean in appearance and flavour. 20 seeds.
A sweet tasting, bitter free cucumber from China. The tender, crisp fruit grow up to 35cm long. An unusual variety that is adapted to a wide range of conditions, high yielding and maintains a fine flavour even under poor growing conditions. Use fresh or pickled. Young fruit are spiney and become smoother at peak maturity. 25 seeds.
A tasty creamy-white skinned Australian heirloom. It has a firm, sweet, juicy flesh that is best used fresh in salads or added to a smoothie for a cooling drink. A high yielding cucumber that grows to 18 cm x 6 cm. Matures in 8-10 weeks. A vigorous vine that can be grown on a trellis to save space. For the best tasting cucs feed and water well. 35 seeds.
A tender, burpless Lebanese style cucumber. Excellent flavour with a thin skin and crisp flesh that is never bitter. Grows to 15-20 cm long and 2-4 cm wide. Can be used fresh or pickled. If pickling harvest cucumbers 8-15 cm long. A productive vine with cucumbers ready to harvest relatively early when compared to the larger varieties. 15 seeds.
