A productive swede with a fine grained, firm flesh. A mighty fine eating variety with a creamy root and bright purple top. Easy to grow provided plants are thinned to a spacing of at least 20 cm. A rich flavour that is ideal in soups, stews and roasted. Best sown in late summer or early autumn as frost sweetens up the roots and enhances the flavour.
