Postage and handling within Australia
As we now sell bulk seed, some orders become parcels by Australia Post's definition. The following postage and handling (P&H) charges now apply per order, which are based on weight. All orders are sent with padding so that seed does not get crushed in transit within the mail system. We have a standard or express post option for delivery.
Standard Seed Items:
- Under 500g: Standard P&H $5.90 (Express Post $12.50)
- Between 500g and 3kg: Standard P&H $11.50 (Express Post $16.50)
- Over 3kg: Standard P&H $15.00 (Express Post $16.50)
- Standard seed-only items orders over $100 are eligible for free standard post
Bulky Items:
- 0–3kg: Standard P&H $11.50 (Express Post $16.50)
- Over 3kg: Standard P&H $15.00 (Express Post $16.50)
- Bulky items are not eligible for free post
Quarantine Restrictions
Western Australia does have quarantine restrictions. Seed that is not permitted entry to WA is stated at the end of the description as 'Not to WA'. We aim to keep abreast of all the changes with WA Quarantine but purchasers should check on the permitted species list, see Western Australian Organism List (WAOL) for the latest information..
From 1st July 2013 WA Quarantine will be charging an inspection fee for all seed imported into WA. To see the current fees/charges to be paid by the customer (invoiced by WA Quarantine direct to the purchaser, you are not charged at our end) go to: WA Biosecurity fees and charges. Gardeners may wish to band together in order to share this cost.
