BASIL ‘Lettuce Leaf’
Ocimum basilicum
A fun basil to grow where for one of our favourite herbs, you get bang for buck (and growing space). Similar flavour, just not quite as strong, this variety produces very large crinkled leaves, to 12 cm long and nearly as wide. Great for pasta dishes or salads that want some more greenery added with that distinct flavour. 300 seeds.
Sowing Instructions
Sow direct when soil and weather is warm enough. In cooler areas sow indoors in trays to transplant once frosts passed and soil and weather warmed. Keeps seeds moist and warm (22˚C). Basil seeds need light to germinate. Very frost sensitive.
