Solanum melongena
A prolific, space-saving performer that yields an early clusters of slender, purple finger-sized eggplants. This variety delivers a delicate, mildly sweet flavour with a silky texture - perfect for cooking or pickling. Harvest at 10-12 cm leave to grow larger with no loss of quality. Perfect for areas with a short summer. Treated seed (thirum). 20 seeds.
Sowing Instructions
Keep seed warm (18˚C) & moist. In cold areas (*) start indoors 6 wks before last frost. Eggplants are frost tender so transplant once frosts have passed and soil has warmed. Fruit does not set with cool nights. Water and feed well. Plant in sheltered position.
