SPIDER FLOWER ‘Fountain Mix’
Cleome spinosa (syn. Hasslerianna)
An unusual bedding plant with spidery flower petals in red, pink or white and attractive palmate leaves. This fast-growing and long-flowering annual makes a beautiful cut flower. Prefers a full sun to part shade, with well-drained soil. Deadhead flowers to prolong flowering to frost. Requires light and warmth to germinate, surface sow and press onto soil surface to ensure good contact. Keep moist and warm (20˚C+). Germinates in 14-18 days (will not germinate if too cold, seed will rot). 150 seeds.
Sowing Instructions
Sow in cellular trays or individual pots as doesn’t like root disturbance when transplanted. Requires light and warmth to germinate, surface sow and press onto soil surface to ensure good contact. Keep moist and warm (20˚C+). Germinates in 14-18 days (will not germinate if too cold, seed will rot).
