Southern Harvest
Quality seeds for kitchen, flower and native gardeners
Botanical Name
Brassica napus
A productive swede with a fine grained, firm flesh. A mighty fine eating variety with a creamy root and bright purple top. Easy to grow provided plants are thinned to a spacing of at least 20 cm. A rich flavour that is ideal in soups, stews and roasted. Best sown in late summer or early autumn as frost sweetens up the roots and enhances the flavour. Roots mature in about 90 days, they can be harvested earlier. Stores well in the ground through winter, so just harvest when needed. 500 seeds.
