This perennial border-plant produces beautiful blue, bell-shaped summer flowers on tall stems with evergreen narrow lance-shaped leaves. Prefers moist limy soils in full sun or half shade. Tolerates heavy soils. Cut back after flowering to encourage a second bloom. Leaves can be used raw or cooked and flowers are a sweet edible addition to salads. 500 seeds.
